Most of Malls, shopping centre and Arcade are in South Mumbai particularly in Nagpada where recently City Malls caught fire and it took two to three days for control it was because fire department was not taken strict action against the Maharashtra fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act, 2006 that fire department will take action that involves six months to three years imprisonment or penalty up to Rs.3000 depending upon the violation
Some of Shopping centre and Arcade where by force some Anti social elements blocked the fire exits emergency gate. But fire department still not inspection it once a year and take strict action against those who blocked the emergency exit gate
