LG Dryer - Clean Filter Indicator

Is your 'Clean Filter' light blinking? This indicator does not mean that there is anything wrong with your dryer! The 'Clean Filter' indicator on the display panel was designed to serve as a reminder to clean the lint filter before each use to ensure great drying every time.

I have learned that this means that there is lint trapped underneath the lint trap and the best way to fix it is us a hanger to break apart the lint

I've done that and I'm still having issues. The sensor is covered in dust but because of the poor design of the dryer I am unable to get to the sensor to clean it

You fail to mention that you may need to take the filter housing apart and clean underneath it.. that lint trap only catches 50% (being generous) of lint! Everytime you lift the trap out, lint falls back down.. So when you replace it, it pushes the lint down further.. FIRE WAITING TO HAPPEN!!!

Is there a way to reset the “CL” (check filter) that keeps blinking even after you’ve clean the filter and reinsert it in position?

This is the first time I experience this issue but this is an old dryer that… probably around 2012-2014

Is your 'Clean Filter' light blinking? This indicator does not mean that there is anything wrong with your dryer! - WRONG! It DOES mean something is wrong with your dryer! Specifically, that there is excessive lint trapped BENEATH the lint filter that must be cleaned out. As "Beauty Smiles" correctly asserts, this is a FIRE WAITING TO HAPPEN!
