Plasma tornado sounds like a high level magic spell meant to destroy towns and not mere monsters

I haven't seen anyone reintroduce pressure to a system like this! Very cool

That was very cool! Thanks for the share.

You can also do this If you have a syringe and a tesla coil

I remember when Radio Shack sold these plasma balls back in the late 1980s. 😊

It'd be interesting to see a vacuum gauge as the pressure goes back up, to see what sort of low pressures we're talking about here, and how the behaviour changes with pressure.

This is one of my fav videos of yours. It's so awesome when you are super smart and you use it to entertain me! ❤

Definitely is super cool!💯 Would it melt the tube if eventually? Also how would different types of metals and gas react?
Thanks.

Specifically HF high voltage. Low frequency and DC don't work nearly as well if at all

Wow, thats so cool ! Especially the tube lighting up like a neon tube. What is the voltage vor the high voltage generator though ? If its over 40kV you should be cautious about X-rays.

I can't not hear it as "plas ma-balls". Oh ligma, you've forever changed the way I hear things.

Just a question ( I am a newbie)

Where will all that electricity go if I continue to supply electricity to the screw for a long time? Will the flask burst?

Woah, so you can get some wicked plasma without any special gases, just really low pressure? Awesome!

Also, the plasma traveling up through the tube has me wondering all sorts of things: Was the plasma just to fill the extra volume, or was it trying to get to the pump? Is there a limit to how narrow the vacuum tube can be while still allowing this low-air-pressure plasma to be visible inside it? Is there a limit to how far that plasma could reach, assuming the electricity source is similar in power to that which was used in this video?

It would be really cool to test these things for myself, but unfortunately I don't own a vacuum pump... or a vaccum flask... or vacuum tubes... I mean, I've got a Dyson vacuum that we bought at Costco like 10 years ago, and that's about it :P

What did you use to make plasma? Also can i make that using a mosquito bat? Im trying to make a cathode ray tube using a mosquito bat and a plasma ball.

What's the negative terminal in your system? And please try this again on a scale? Check the weight difference plz

I was today years old when i figured out how neon lights are made. And this is how

Hi, I've a small doubt. Where should i connect the other end of the high voltage supply? On the glass? 😊
