Ah, so THIS is how those old street lights worked! As an architect, I had to learn about low pressure sodium lights. One fact of those is they basically had the lowest color rendering index of any commercial light source, which meant at night humans couldn't see much color under this type of light. However, this experiment is very illuminating for me!
