I was a big reader of novelist & liberal Father Andrew Greeley through the 1990s & even he spoke disparagingly of the Lavender Mafia.

God have mercy on His Church for being unfaithful to Jesus.
Am I wrong to think in human terms; this is comparable to a bride's unfaithfulness to her groom?

Right... he wrote a book and said it should be only published in Italian so nobody in Germany or UK can't read it if they don't speak Italian. RCC Apologetics trying so hard to defend his book that they actually got only some quotes and fragments translated by newspapers, but hey Josef Ratzinger "muh exposed something scandal hype" 😂

Give me a break. Benedict was every bit the modernist that Francis is, he simply had more deceptive charisma. He was a false ecumenist and denied countless dogmatic definitions of the Church. He was a theological monster who said that the Gospel of Matthew was not historically accurate. He is, barring a deathbed conversion, certainly in Hell.
