Use a container to mix your resin that is twice the volume of the amount of resin because when degassing the resin, it will expand and flow out of your container. Then once the resin is DEGASSED-bubbles removed in the vacuum-THEM POUR THE GAS FREE RESIN INTO YOUR MOLD.

thank you! everyones saying DO NOT USE VACCUM CHAMBER USE PRESSURE POT but you showed me with patience it works just fine! I just got one of these as a Christmas gift and started getting a little bit disappointed. Thanks for the help! Great video!

It didn’t tell me how to operate it really either or what those handles are. Thank you for posting this so now I know.!!!

You leave the pump on and when the bubbles are about to overflow, use the red isolation valve (what you call a toggle) and open to allow the pressure to equalise. Rinse and repeat. Eventually it will get to a point where there are no bubbles being pulled from the resin. You should not have to use a flame at any point other than maybe right at the end if you feel it necessary 👍

I got the 5 gal model. I liked this video as I haven't used mine yet, but it would've been a little more helpful if you showed what buttons to push, levers to pull, and how to add more oil. Thanks for taking your time to show us this though!

Thank you for the video I just got a vacuum chamber because I don't really want to get a preasurr pot and seeing you demonstrate this it helps a lot. I've been resin casting for a while and now I will make way better castings with this tool.

it is better to vacuum the resin in the cup first to remove the bubbles and then pour the bubble free resin into the mold

So I just got mine. I was so excited I just went for it and ended up laying like 5 things in it. Mixed up a few different batches n it started hardening before I got the bubbles out. I wish I had watched this vid first. Thanks to you, I think I know what to do now lol. Thank you

Hi! You mentioned turning it up higher to get more bubbles out, how is that done? With the other nozzle.

Hi, Thank you so much for this video. I just received mine and setting things up soon. Mine looks just like yours from amazon same color and mine is a 1 gallon with no instructions only for the pump. I thought this was so funny that when you read the pump book on the how to fix, it stated one answer-"Fix It" lol wow.
Mine is from Bestauto. I did notice a plastic top on the gauge and I guess you leave it on when in use?
I haven't used mine yet and will keep you posted. Thank you again.

just got my vacuum chamber and jumped right in too, same results as the start of this video. But prior to me getting the vacuum chamber, when talking to a guy who does all kinds of resin pours, he just told me you run the chamber and the bubbles will foam at the top and them all just burst and you're good, so I ran the thing as high as it could go and it just made a volcano of mess...

I'm kind of missing my pressure pot right now, but I need to prevent the concaving I get that creates the sharp edges at the opening...

very helpful thank you, just a simple pushing down on the lid made the vacuum go to -25. THANK YOU

Brilliant video, I needed a clear and concise tutorial for degassing using a vacume chamber, thanks 😊 👍

Nobody I've seen explain this has a high quality vacuum pump. If your pump gets to or exceeds -1 atmosphere it is going to make the resin boil. So go to like 26 mmhg

Thank you for this video I also bought one of them and it didn’t have any instructions

Hi, I’m just starting my resin journey and I’m interested in this brand of vacuum pot, but I was wondering what kind of oil does it need to be filled with ?

Glad I found your video. You are correct, instructions are poorly written.
I degassed prior to pouring. I did one mistake and released the vacuum too fast and it exploded! I now have a better understanding of the bends while scuba diving. They say your blood boils like that.

I am looking to pour small items like earrings. I think getting the bubbles out 1st might be better.

Thanks again for taking the time to do the video.

This is so cool. I wish they had huge sizes so you could fit a lot of projects in at once. Then leave them all in to cure overnight. Can I ask what made you choose this over a pressure pot?

Have you ever tried spraying 91% isopropyl alcohol to pop bubbles instead of a torch? It works really well 😊
