Rob goes at everything with the excited anticipation of a child and never fails to bless those around him! Thanks so much for what you do Rob!

The hospitality of people in the south is the best, the fact you came into the fish shack and didn't know those women and they instantly without hesitation offered you homemade pralines, not to mention the owners letting you cook in their restaurant during business hours, like I've never experienced such nice people, this is my sign to move to the south

Rob - First time commentator, long time absorber of your adventures. I'm not a hunter and no longer fish but still love the outdoors as you so wonderfully present it to young and old alike here on YouTube. Even more important, let me add that I'm in my 7th decade, much of it spent crawling all over the western Sierras but no longer able to do so, so again, thank you for the way you honestly respect nature and all the goodness and bounty she provides. Lastly, when all is said and done, it really makes little difference how big a home you have, how nice a car you drive, or how much money you make. What really matters is how important you are in the lives of others and other living things. You set an example with each and every YouTube vid you present. Godspeed good buddy - WSJ

Watched some of this channel a few years back. And recently re-found after fisherman’s life binge. This episode was so wholesome and all the people have good small town vibes I miss. This episode is gonna get me watching more.

Also the way you cast a net was an art form

In my travels on business in Louisiana I have found the folks there to be very wholesome and down to earth. Just like in this video. Great job of capturing the vibe down there.

That quote is stuck with me - "All men die, few ever live". Rob embodies it.

9:38 That's an F-15 Eagle, not a F-18 Hornet. Most likely a LA Air National Guard jet out of Belle Chasse. Great video, as always!

Did a guided bowfishing trip once where some young bucks shot and then threw away at least 30 alligator gar just before we went out. Made me sick to see that many fish killed and tossed just for sport. I'd love to see more guides show fishing enthusiasts how to clean and use the meat. Great video.

I was amazed by the skin of the gar. I've never seen one up close and personal like that and I couldn't get over how tough that skin looked.

Wherever you go you always attract a crowd, people just are drawn to you. Haven't visited the channel in a while but today I was so pleased to see your face and new faces in the background. Keep making people smile, and whether we are outdoors people are not each video has something for somebody. God Bless you and your beautiful family.

Have loved Gar since I was a little boy. Biggest catch I ever made, before bagging a 57 inch Bull Redrum. (Never got to weigh it. Old Cajun gut I was with said, "Quick! While it's still alive, hang it by the head and cut deep into the tail. Bleed it out and the meat won't get oily or fishey!" He nailed it! Got over 19 Lbs of filetes, that cooked up so white and flakey!!!
