In simple words if gear is high and you are running in lower speed then it will automatically lower the gear but it will never increase gear no matter how much acci you push... This feature is useful for driving uphill when you need extra torque or if you are in hurry and wants to overtake quickly.

Gear down happens automatically isn't it ? plus you can't run at 50 kmpl in Gear 2. the ratio is 1:15:30:45:55-60+ that's it. you will burst the engine otherwise
