This was the best chapter of Constitution 101 so far. First I really like the image of the scales balancing at 2:33 . They wanted Federal authority to be really light. That led to problems so they increased it, hopefully not too much.
I really like Madison's definition of Faction at 4:40 .

The way he Madison worded his definition of Faction reminded me of the way Spinoza worded his definitions. I wonder if one of the books in that big trunk of books he read at 3:00 was Spinoza? Madison's use of the word "passions" also aligns with Spinoza's.

Just because the Founders had some noble ideas, that does not mean they successfully deployed those ideas in the composition of the government charter. For example, Mr. Rosen insists that the Hamilton and Madison were guarding against demagogues, but every political candidate deploys demagoguery in their campaigns. Calling it "mudslinging" is merely a euphemism for demagoguery.

There's no need to re-write the Constitution. The Constitution should remain as it was originally written with applying Amendments to the different Amendments as times changes. The Constitution is the country's Bible. You don't re-write the Bible to suit your wants. Not every citizen's wants are the same. I agree that certain things in the Constitution needs to be updated, but re-writing it doesn't even make sense. The Constitution coincides with our "Bill of Rights" that "All men are created equal". If you take a look at all of these Republican States and what their Legislators have done changing their laws, not people are created equal. Now imagine that on a National level. This country would be like Russia and China and North Korea and other Dictatorship countries. There's no need to re-write the Constitution.
