How to crochet a little girl's fairy / princess / tutu dress

Показать описание
This step by step tutorial will show you how to crochet a girl's fairy / princess / tutu / party dress.
For my dress I used a 4mm crochet hook, Drops Muskat yarn and 2 meters of fabric.
For size 1 - 2 years use a 3.5mm crochet hook
For size 2 - 3 years use a 4mm crochet hook
For size 3 - 4 years use a 4.5mm crochet hook
For size 4 - 5 years use a 5mm crochet hook
For size 5 - 6 years use a 6mm crochet hook
For size 6 - 7 years use a 7mm crochet hook
To make the skirt of your dress:
-Cut the length of your fabric - this should be double the length that you want your skirt to be.
-Cut the width of your fabric. This should be very wide as you will need a lot of fabric to make your tutu style skirt. Once you have finished cutting your fabric you should have a very wide rectangle - mine was 60cm x 2m.
-Fold your fabric in half along the shorter side.
-Gather your fabric using a needle and thread along the fold. Make your stitches approximately 1inch apart.
-Measure around the crochet top of your dress and make sure that the skirt is the same length around.
-Pin your skirt to the top of the dress, making sure that the seam is at the middle back. I would recommend attaching your skirt between the 8th and 9th row of the top.
-Using a needle and thread sew your skirt to the top of your dress.
-Sew up the back of the skirt if you wish.
