In an interview with Al Jazeera, Raed al-Saleh, head of the Syrian Civil Defence, known as the White Helmets, described prisons run by the al-Assad government as "human slaughterhouses." He said the torture in these prisons was severe under intelligence officers' supervision, leaving many prisoners in deteriorating health and experiencing severe mental and physical issues.
Al-Saleh confirmed that no hidden chambers were found at the Sednaya prison in Damascus after a search but noted that the White Helmets are offering a reward for credible information on hidden prisons. He stated that executions and extreme violence are a daily occurrence in these prisons, with reports of dead bodies found in ovens.
Al-Saleh mentioned that daily executions were also occurring in public squares in some areas. The estimated number of freed prisoners ranges between 20,000 to 50,000, but around 150,000 people remain missing. He stressed the urgent need to address the regime's remnants and continued atrocities.

Horrifying. Hard to even imagine what those poor civilians went through for decades. Shame on those who supported that evil regime all this time.

This has been happening for over 40 years; since the Assad regime took control of Syria 💔
I very much remember the famous massacre that happened around 1982 when the father Assad killed about 40 thousand people in one town.
Let’s remember that all this is mainly because of Russia, Iran and HezbuAllah who supported Assad all along; otherwise the Syrian people would have been able to overthrow Bashar Al Assad and his regime long ago

Apparently the Sednata compound is so deep that there's some people who have not even seen a phone or even the Internet, thats how long its been since they had entered that compound, it's absolutely crazy and can only be compared to the bastille in France

No surprises. These are no secrets. Syrians have called this out over and over again. All world leaders have known this for decades and stood by, doing nothing.😡
Power to the people of Syria💚 Finally, hope has arrived.

In other countries, rescue teams dig for people from the rubble.
In Syria, rescue teams dig for people from prisons.

Why did this television channel not deal intensively with the violation of human rights in Syria? This happened for a long time, 13 years.

It is unimaginable the torture of humans against humans for no reason. Are we really just animals at our basic level of understanding?

Can you imagine a man was released from this prison who was in prison for 40 years, that was during the father's reign before Bashar Assad took over. He was a Lebanese guy, he came out he could barely walk and talk, he lost sense of time and the world he saw was completely weird to him with people holding smart phones in their hands. This is just one man story, God knows what else we will uncover in the days to come.

I have a friend in Damascus telling me about all this and how horrific and sadistic the regime was. He said they were using them to test chemical weapons on and that when he goes outside it smells like smoke from the burning of documents and infrastructure.
