Delphi Murders Trial Date Set at Richard Allen's Court Hearing

Richard Allen, who is accused of murdering two teenagers in Delphi, Indiana, is asking to be moved to a new jail. During a hearing on Thursday, an Indiana judge scheduled Allen's trial date for January 8, 2024.

I’ve never been to Delphi but Google says it’s just under 3 sq miles. Rick Allen worked at the cvs right by the trail. The footage was all over the news. No one said “hey. The guy saying down the hill looks & sounds like the guy from cvs” it just baffles me that in such a small town, nobody would make the connection.

I have experience with the FBI concerning a case in my family. I HAD TO HOUND THE AGENT IN CHARGE OF THE CASE in order to get ANY attention paid to it. Fact: Someone in LE in Delphi RECEIVED THE PARKS OFFICER'S report about Allen being on the trail, and whoever ignored that obviously important report needs to be fired.

Something about this case still just doesn’t feel right. I’m not saying Allen is innocent but I just can’t imagine it is purely coincidence that Kline was communicating with them and they just randomly ran into Allen. It just seems like something is missing.

I saw an interview with someone on the delphi investigative team. I heard him say the investigator who spoke to Allen was a fish and Game officer that was a “reserve officer” when the tip was submitted it was submitted incorrectly, like it might have been marked as having already been worked/investigated. When they ran out of leads, they went back over all the leads to see if anything was missed, and that was when they discovered the Richard Allen lead, and it began their investigation into his involvement.

It's not about getting someone in prison, but finding the right person that did the crime.
It must be so hard on the parents to have to go through it over and over again.

They were barely teenagers, not young women. Women would have seen through his bs, but these two girls did not have the life experience necessary to avoid this predator. They were still girls and this filth took advantage of that.
