Proof of citizenship must be required before adding name to voting roles. Voting roles should be reviewed and validated each year. Georgia purged their voter roles and discovered 100, 000 names were not eligible to vote of which 10, 000 voters were deceased. Did any ineligible people vote????

Well in my "third world country" you cannot vote without your ID and the take a finger print at the voting station before you vote to make sure you are the person your ID say you are ...no "mail in" votes ...only "in person" votes count...hmm...

Ordinarily, I would say that such a thing should be a single item bill, and I despise the idea of using riders to push an issue, but the shoe is on the other foot now... and I can't wait to see how many people vote against the budge bill just because they want non-citizens to have voting rights.

There are currently some states where one can register to vote by simply filling out an application for driver's license.... It must be pointed out that there is no requirement to prove citizenship to get a driver's license. All a non-citizen has to do is tick the box indicating they want to be registered to vote and voila a non-citizen is now registered to vote. I wonder how many non-citizens have done that? Ihgdst

Shut the government down until this bill passes. Period. And then tell the Dems to take a hike on ANY omnibus bill. Every bill should stand on its own or fail. Period.
