Fred Astaire at his best and Vera Ellen is a lovely dancing partner. Pretty song and beautiful, classy dancing. Fred Astaire was the best dancer to ever be on the screen.

I love Vera-Ellen. She was one of the great Hollywood dancers of all time. But the clip ought to give credit to Anita Ellis for dubbing her vocals. By the way, Vera-Ellen's last name is Rohe; she never used it professionally. Note that she is dancing in flats, not high heels. She was only 5'4" -- but by wearing flats in this scene, she makes the 5'9" Astaire look taller.

It was something about the way women presented themselves then. Women looked gorgeous without revealing so much. It was classy. It was Mercedes BENZ or a BENTLEY not an Escalade with all the crap and glitter and spoked wheels. Today? There are gorgeous women but the make-up industry is too much. And everything now is just bare. Packages ripped open. No mystery, no intrigue, no romance. Just sex. But the elite have designed it this way.. Thanks everyone after the 60's.
