I have to go with the unheated. I love the blue that comes from the heating process but there is just something about the unheated that makes me say wow.

We just heated this 83.69ct natural tanzanite and it came out to be a beautiful color! Yes! Both! Loving the unheated just a tad more though. I like the kijani type too, which is still partly tsavorite garnet in spots so they stay green in contrast with the blue or diesel or fancy colors .

Personally I liked it unheated better, but as I'm not a client who buys in this price range and heated stones are usually better to sell, I can understand the decision.

I liked the unheated in this particular stone. Both stones I would not turn down lol. I love what is called 'peacock' tanzanite.

Heated, as much as I hate to admit it. There are some natural tanzanite that is blue that did not go through heat enhancements

Once heated does the Tanzanian lose its color change properties? The blue is a gorgeous tone, but the unique character of the trichroic nature of Tanzanite is almost magical.

heated is obviously more beautiful. Howver I guess if you can find a unheated tanzanite that's already blue or violet, would be nicer.

I like both. I have heated tanzanite in different qualities and I have to say that the single, triple, and quad A tanzanite all three look more purple and less blue. All of them just have hints of blue. Not like what you are showing in your picture and I have bought from quality jewelry stores. Now seeing the unheated tanzanite, I would like to buy one like that to add to my collection of different stones.

Unheated is better because treatment of a stone can become undone. Although in this vid the heated is brighter more brilliant color saturation appearance.
