Im a pro install tech and I just want to say you did a very good job, I would give you 8 / 10, mostly because you didnt hide the wires, thats a no no in my trade, wires can cut or damage but other than that awesome job and vid.

Thanks! Glad that I just watched and found out about the cat6 riser cable, cause I was just going to use the supplied cat5 cable. Just ordered all cat6 supplies just in time for Christmas for my Reolink 4k 8 cam, 16ch. 4tb system, that I know I'm getting! Again thanks, on how to crimp and set up my line drops!!

Not a bad install, my only recommendation is adding some conduit to protect the exposed wires.

With a few youtube videos anyone can install this, you don't need to hire people. This is just an ad to hire professional who will over charge you.

If you're going to run the drops, tell them to run TWO lines. It shouldn't cost you any more than the cable itself. Might as well have a back up just in case.

Got a ballpark estimate for $400 per line. Seattle area. Nope. Going to do it myself now. I have a couple tricky ones with no direct access to attic, so will need to run conduit on the outside of the house about 40 feet to get it to the attic. Maybe the $400 estimate was high, but they charge to come to my house for an accurate estimate.

Can the cable hole align with the center of the mount so cable isn't exposed?

ROFL more like 150 a line drop and we use Plenum cable also, we use outdoor camera boxes so you do not have to drill such a large hole also, we seal the hole we drilled as well.
