I believe I have a private hydrant looks very similar to this style AVK value...
I took the grease screw out with a Allen wrench and lubed the hole in the bonnet but I never did this so extensive as to taking everything all apart....
I believe I have a mechanic wrench or ( monkey wrench)
that will open up more than a crescent wrench to get that holding nut out...
Would rather use it over a pipe wrench so not to bogger up the nut with the pipe wrench...
I was never given any special tools upon purchase of this hydrant.
Could be something sold separately??
