Description (From Wikipedia) Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1 - A Tight Squeeze, commonly known as Chapter One or abbreviated as CH1, is the first chapter for Poppy Playtime. It was released on October 13 on Steam. It revolves around the unamed player, an ex-employee of the toy manufacturing business Playtime Co. whose employees when missing abruptly one day, and receives a letter from an anonymous sender stating that 'we're still here'. This incites the protagonist to go back to the abandoned factory and investigate it to find out what is happening. Playtime Co. is a toy-making company, and the location where the game takes place. It was likely established in the 1950s, considering the aesthetic and lack of deeply advanced technology. However, the factory likely made its demise some time past the 80s depending. In this game, you play as an ex-employee of a company labelled "Playtime Co." Playtime Co. was once a corporate giant company that was in the toy manufacturing industry - that was until everybody inside the factory went missing. Now, years later, you return to the factory to investigate these unknown missing cases. One of the main mascots of PlayTime Co, he was one of the best sellers and found a place in the hearts of many children across the globe due to the fact that he was programmed to hug people, or because he was found to be cute. Nobody really knows what made him so appealing. However, due to experimentation on the toys at Playtime Co., a Huggy Wuggy seems to have come to life and gone rogue, killing everyone that crosses its path. The Player is the main protagonist of Poppy's Playtime and is the person you currently play as during Chapter 1: A Tight Squeeze. There is not much to say about The Player since we never get an introduction to who they could be. However, there's a recurring theory that the live toys, such as the murderous HH, were actually human experiments. There's a theory that the player has ties to whoever was running the operation, or looked similar to them, which is why they were so ferociously attacked. This is not canon, and this may be disputed later on as more lore is revealed. Poppy Playtime is a minor character inside Chapter 1, and will most likely be an important character for the upcoming chapters. Poppy is a highly intelligent toy, she has the ability to properly converse with a child. She's also programmed to talk and communicate like a real little girl. Her first debut is in Chapter 1 and is featured inside the first VHS tape the player receives in the game, in which she appears in her own commercial tape. The Grab Pack was shown to have been used by factory workers to do heavy lifting and general tasks that would have been hard for the average man to do alone, or even in groups. Not to mention, that in the chase scene, the player used it to pull a huge box over an entrance to deter a murderous Huggy Wuggy, and instead destroys the entire mesh floor with the box and takes Huggy Wuggy down with it. This shows that it's incredibly powerful, managing to pull down a box like that with ease. In VHS 2, it's also shown that it can easily decapitate a person with relative ease. In VHS 2, because of this, it was strongly advised to use these with care for that very reason. Decapitating your coworker is not ideal. (Steam Page) You must stay alive in this horror/puzzle adventure. Try to survive the vengeful toys waiting for you in the abandoned toy factory. Use your GrabPack to hack electrical circuits or nab anything from afar. Explore the mysterious facility... and don't get caught.

It sort of makes you wonder if they made phase 3 SO bad because they WANTED people to leave the game..like they realized how hard it was to manage a multiplayer game let alone manage one whilst creating a big title like Poppy Playtime, but instead of communicating with the fans the difficulty or hiring more staff to make a full team for Project Playtime (instead of splitting up the staff between the games leading to needing to take staff back from Project, there's be 2 full teams) they killed the game and abandoned it almost ashamed of it..no communication, just gutted it and left

I miss the days when we had those fun lobbies and the huggy minigame. Feels like a daydream now.😭😭Also they didn’t even explain why they did what they did. The hell is wrong with them.

As someone who was/is very into PJPT, heres a couple things id like to say:

Phase 2 is the best update and the best state the game ever was, and the only objectively good thing Phase 3 did was making items purchaseable via tickets.
Absolutely EVERYTHING else, the new hud, the new cinematic, the removal of the train ride intro, huggy pit, grab handles, etc. was an absolutely HORRIBLE change.

The worst part is that the pjpt feedback channel in the discord got set to private. Its still in the server i think, but you cant see it, cant type in it, cant read it, nothing. Its so fucking sad what happened to this geniunely fun and unique game.
Catnap as a monster also had so much potential as a playable character.

Zach did say at one point, something along the lines of: "We have many many things planned for it" in the discord when talking about PJPT, but thats the most vague, corporate statement ever, so we shall see what he meant. I hope the game gets back to its prime one day...

Before they do anything else for phase 4, THEY NEED TO REVERSE ALMOST EVERYTHING FROM PHASE 3. THEY REMOVED PRIVATE GAMES, RANDOM PICK, AND THE HUGGY PIT!!

I used to play this game every single day, but with season 3 is just died for me. I played this game since it`s release and find it extremely sad to watch how Mob Entertainment completely abandoned it. They promised updates that just didn`t come and let the game die. I can`t understand why, cause it holds so much potential... 😥

I had no idea some people thought they were meant to dig up graves🤦‍♀️

WTF is wrong with some people?

Special Delivery flipped so Project could flop 😂 Seriously, I wish side project games for franchises would have a little more love and care. Into the Pit is a good sign at least.

I have 780 hours played Pjpt, and this is incredibly sad, it seems like the devs don't care anymore, Phase 3 was so rushed, that they only had the option to delete things to make it ''special'' special of ruining the whole game, best of luck to pjpt, but i think rn that if the devs release a update right now, the game won't really revive about the players, because they won't even remember the game, also the promotion this game received is absurd, the last mention pjpt got was in APRIL!

I have a feeling that the game will receive content after Poppy Playtime(specifically the main game) is finished. It would be way easier and make more sense because even if there's no more Poppy Playtime chapters they can still update Project to let fans play as and against they're favourite characters. We know not just main antagonists are planned for the game because the devs have stated PJ Pug-a-pillar was in development. If we're lucky the game might get supported again earlier than we think as the dev team grows and they can afford it. There's no chance the game is abandoned forever.

I never played the game, but it's such a shame really.
Project Playtime was clearly popular with fans. Introducing newer or even more complicated puzzles in-game could be a great place to provide fans with hints, clues, details, special facts, artist opinions, anything and everything really about Poppy Playtime.

As a day one, (was, rusty now) relatively high ranked Boxy Boo main, friends w/ a few of the other top players & tourney people, 560ish hours (mostly played Phase 1&2), have this to say:

There are several bugs that I have encountered in UE4, and I understand the logic of how to fix (as a complete amateur learning UE4 on my own). That being said, there's a few bugs that I won't say here, because they seem like they'd actually be really good features (if they were developed more) for higher level players.
I think I was one of the first few people to spread the info about how to revert the game back to Phase 2 (shared January 29th in one of my friend group servers, but I vaguely remember sharing it other places before then too)
I've also figured out how to bypass EAC (yes, even in Phase 3) and use UUU (Universal Unreal Unlocker) to increase my speed, size, spawn blueprints, etc. (aka cheat)
Personally, I've tried about everything I possibly could to get in touch with the devs and try to fix the bugs that I understand (Roll Cancel, Run Lock, etc), but no matter what I did I couldn't get in touch with them. Even their email was completely dead (the one on their website).

They haven't even so much as murmured anything about PJPT to my knowledge, so I don't think they really care enough to engage with their community or fix the game, possibly because it wasn't raking in the big bucks (not assuming, just giving my thoughts). I don't think I'd be opposed to still help, only if it meant they would listen to their community and the people that understand in the future.

Glad you put this video up though, because maybe, just maybe, they'll do something with enough people looking. Maybe start a hashtag to gauge more attention? Like #SavePJPT or #SaveProjectPlaytime? I really do want to get good at this game again, and it really is a shame the devs have to be this way.

I still play project Playtime every now and again. It's massively fun, but the changes the devs made in the last update just ruined everything they had left. The game might have stopped development, but there's actually a fan project being worked on called playtime plus and it seems like it'll have most good stuff added back from the main game and also promises to add some more much requested changes and features. I'm not even affiliated with them in any way, I just wanted to share this super cool project with everyone who misses the good old PJPT days. Honestly can't wait for it to be released in like a year or something

Sheep I totally agree with you Project was so successful and then fell dramatically and I loved Project cause that game helped me meet the people I know today I would love to bring that game back cause everything good that you said about the game are 100% true and I miss the game it was so fun! What I think the devs should do is relaunch the game for a comeback and head back to phase 1 #saveprojectplaytime

Project playtime was a really fun game when inishially released although the monsters were extremely difficult to deal with when you re new to the game. However people from both the employee and monster side eventually started playing entirely reliant on using exploits to be better at the game, especially in phase 2, and in order to keep up you had to practise extra just to counter them and keep up or even use exploits as well. I stopped playing the game for this reason. I planned to come back to the game once these issues were fixed but seeing the state the game currently is its not really giving me any motivation to come back to it.

Considering Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 is already in the I don't think we're gonna see Project Playtime again until

0:37 sheep that's not true at all. They knew chapter 3's development would only take 10-12 months and the development of chapter 3 hadn't even started until may 2023 a whole entire year after chapter 2's release (bc of project) and 5 months after project's release. the fact that ch3 started development in may 2023, we know it only took 8 months of development just like chapter 2 and would have probably been like 2-4 months more if they didn't make project to make the concepts, vision they had for chapter 3 come to life like the toy store which was seemingly cut as they had already missed their release year deadline which bc of project to. So this reason you said here is really not true, they just decided to make project first instead of chapter 3 after ch2 came out thinking it would be a good way to keep people engaged while people wait for the chapters like you said, but imo it really wasn't a good decision as we ended up having to wait for chapter 3 for almost 2 years than what would have been just the usual 9-10 months or a year had they not decided to make project.
