When weilded by a Human, Elf, Dwarf or other taller race: Aim for the Head.

When weilded by a Halfling, Gnome, or other short race: Aim for the "Head".

the trick to having a flail or other chained weapon and not hitting yourself in the head is making sure the handle is longer than the chain. it may not reduce your chance to zero, but it does help.

If the halfling gets ahold of that mace/ morningstar combo weapon crotches ain’t gonna be safe remember it’s doesn’t matter if your weapon is short what matters is the places you can target

It is a Morningstar/flail combo. And if used right can be really devastating. Imagine going to hit someone with that and they go to dodge it, you then hit the button and the Chain extenes and you catch them by surprise and get a nice solid hit on them. Or they go to block (weapon, arm, shield whatever) and you hit the button and it extends and goes over/around the block and hits them.

All jokes aside, thats actually a really cool weapon. It retracted is great against armor and defense, but extended it has more range, better for use in a mount, and can sneak around enemy defences
