It's common sense not to sleep with any exotic or dangerous pet in your bed but "shockingly' common sense is no longer common

One of the worst to keep snakes as pets is to buy foreign ones especially online. They are often shipped and can get very weak or died during transportation. Many owners become bored of them and let them freed in foreign environments. They are either unable to adapt to the environments or become problematic to the nature as happened to Burmese Pythons in Florida.

There is a true story about a woman who had a Bald Python, and she would let it sleep in the bed with her every night, and it would wrap around her body while she was asleep, and one day, she noticed that her snake was refusing to eat and was losing weight. She eventually took her beloved pet to the vet and described in detail about her pets behavior. She told her that her snake had been sizing her up and preparing to eat her in her sleep. The snake had been fasting to be the right size to eat her while she was sleeping. So it is always a possibility and not impossible for it to happen.
