Thanks for the advice and tour. We spent last Christmas on Lombok in Senggigi and New Year on Gili Air. This year we’re going back again. Going to stay down south near your ‘Secret Gillis’ for a week and then spend another week based in Senggigi again. I think we’ll definitely check out a few of those Gillis in the south now. I also want to go see Tetebatu. From the looks of it on Google maps it has a lot in common geographically with Ubud - all those long deep valleys running down from the volcano - making for a lot of unique little neighborhoods in the valleys and along the ridges. I want to check that place for sure. So we’ll probably have to take a short side trip there for a day or two. We live in Java so Lombok is not really far away. (And yes, Bali is crazy crowded now so you go there for a different kind of holiday. We still love it but it’s not as ‘relaxing.’) Again, thanks for the suggestions. Makasih banyak!
