I don’t think it’s a classic as of right now but it’s close to being one. It really is the master of the niche market of “classic and feminine but a bit edgy so it’s not too much”. I feel many of us don’t want to look too feminine and classic so it does the job, and I don’t see many classic design houses doing it right too… They go from classic to borderline unwearable or masculine/oversized clothing and shoes.

I have chosen to view them as classic. They are beautiful and more importantly to me, comfortable, so I will keep wearing them. I really hope at some point, others view them like they do the Chanel slingback.

I love how Valentino did this. They made this their recognizable signature. And I enjoy how they have evolved over time. The new giant rock studs are super cool in my opinion.

As someone else said, this would be an awesome series! Perhaps highlighting different brands and what exactly makes them recognizable, some history, as well as how they have evolved over time. Obvious ones are Gucci and Chanel, but it would be interesting to see what makes Loewe, or other not-as-well-known-brands recognizable and desired!

I think the Valentino Rockstuds have won the 2010 hunger games and 13 years later they are still around and not going anywhere. They are a definitive classic

I really love the Valentino Rockstud shoes. I definitely think that they have stood the test of time to be termed a 'classic', in the original versions. I would also call them iconic. I have them on my wishlist...for an upcoming milestone birthday.
