Ok so I’m a pediatric endocrinologist and that is the creepiest hold music ever! I’ve never heard that before and would probably switch doctor’s offices if that my the hold music for my kids’ doctor. 😅

Creepy, but the only thing creepier is looking at my family tree and seeing that once I reach my grandparents, great grandparents, etc, who were kids before vaccines were a thing, and I notice an alarming amount of them literally had a handful of siblings who never made it past age six. I will happily ask for a second opinion on any medical thing that doesn’t sit right with me, but no way will someone convince me to return to a time where you have five kids in hopes that at least one or two reach adulthood, and tell me that’s healthier.
I literally don’t care that I’m agreeing with the creepy jingle, if I saw enough parents put their kids at risk, I’d probably make one too out of desperation.

As a child, i had (almost) every childhood disease going, starting with bronchitis when i was around 12 months, followed soon after by Whooping Cough (which was brutal, and which i caught from a cousin) Then Measles, German Measles, Chicken Pox and Mumps. And in between i had bouts of tonsilitis. I spent a lot of miserable time in bed and missed lots of school. Thank goodness though I did get vaccinations for Polio, Tetanus and Diptheria, which was still a killer when i was small. My friend also caught Scarlet Fever which made her very ill. People now have no idea what children went through in the 1950s when all these diseases were common and there were no vaccines for them. The memory of being so sick myself made it a no-brainer for me to have my own children vaccinated.
