The one inch is lactic acid buildup from the muscles being torn and trying to recover. It’s the “pump” you feel. Your muscles actually grow during your recovery.

Tried it out the other day. About 1 1/2 minutes rest between each set. It took only 6 protein shakes to get through and added an inch to my dominant arm and fixed my muscular imbalance. Just be sure to put days aside afterwards for resting as the arms hurt for at least 2 days.
My No. 1 tip to anyone attempting this is to drink water, eat lots, and take in the salts e.g. magnesium.

I've actually done this 2 times before. About a little over half an inch at the end, but definitely doesn't stay. Just a huge pump while trying to avoid injury. More of a stint routine for views back in the day. But I feel like ppl do sleep on stuff like this for every once in awhile. Especially if you're an enhanced athlete. I wouldn't want to do this much anymore 😂 When I was younger, I could live in the gym. Nowadays, 45 minutes for a sesh 5 times a week upper/lower split is enough for me 😅
