Hi. This is a mic test for the AKG C411 PP and Superlux E100, without those boring "Hi, I'm Kristof" talks in between.

The AKG C411 PP is a micro-mic that is designed to be used as a pickup for string instruments, ranging from violin to guitar to harp. I will use this on several instruments with adhesive velcro to switch between instruments. It was placed below the strings, on the bridge on both instruments. It sounds well and works perfectly off the phantom power off my Tascam USB interface.

The Superlux E100 is a mic designed for recording kick drums, but I'm using it to record my cajon. I placed the Superlux E100 inside the cajon, on the bottom (obviously). The Superlux sounds great. It feels sturdy, but the cord could be longer.

The cajon is first played with Meinl Precision brushes, and then played in the traditional way.
