In the quiet stillness of the morning, the AS-90 self-propelled artillery system lies dormant, ready to unleash its formidable might at a moment's notice.

Boasting a sleek design, raw power, and state-of-the-art technology, the AS-90 showcases unparalleled firepower due to its impressive 155-millimeter L31 howitzer, a harbinger of destruction for any foe.

Moreover, an automated loading system sets it apart from other artillery systems, enabling it to deliver a rapid-fire barrage of three rounds in a mere ten seconds.

Ultimately, the AS-90 is more than just a juggernaut; it is also a paragon of mobility, adept at navigating varied terrains with ease.

A seasoned veteran of numerous wars across desert landscapes, the AS-90 has consistently proven its worth, securing a reputation as a symbol of reliability, strength, and adaptability in a perpetually evolving world where military technology often becomes obsolete as swiftly as it emerges.

As often happens, another documentary about a weapons system that features clips that have little or nothing to do with that weapons

Why did they show Bradley and Abrams when they are talking about howitzers?

one serious problem is the pace of shell use is way higher than developed nations have been able to supply. 6-7k per day was the pace a few months ago. france added 1000 shell per month capacity. thats the second largest economy in the eu. and they're handing over 2k total a month if they hand over everything they're making. thats hours worth of shells. the US has been handing over most of the 155mm shells they have, stashed stateside and in us bases elsewhere, but they also have bought an insane number from south korea to hand to ukraine....and yet, the US is now handing over 155mm cluster munition artillery shells....why? not enough other shells.

They should make a Paladin tow a Howitzer, just for irony.

Once again, it's pronounced 'chassee' not 'chass is'.

One of the most impressive self propelled artillery systems out there is "Archer" made in Sweden.

It is just the British Army. Not the British Royal Army.

There has not been a royal army since Cromwell.

This is due to the Corps Warrant and a requirement for an act of parliament to agree to an army. Each corps can have a royal prefix.

You showcased the boeing 777 cockpit and MFD's as the displays for the self propelled gun... They are not... It's misleading (5:27)

AS 90 is outdated by now, the PzH2000 and K9 are way more advanced and have longer range. The 90 is a good system, but is not secret or that special anymore.
Also when talking about the 90, you show M109 and other unrelated vehicles.
Btw 155mm artillery has same power, regardless of platform.

Interesting that they have landing gear and flaps, but I guess if they are air deployable, they need it. 7:39

Just like any other Western artillery systems except perhaps the archaeological M-109 variants from the USA, the numbers of this self-propelled howitzer actually manufactured and fielded are ridiculously, and yes, disturbingly small. Russia has such in the tens of thousands, and, if the Ukrainian claim of having eliminated over 4.000 artillery guns (are simple mortars also counted?) is true, it is still small change compared to the numbers they're up against.

One mistake that I found, Polish Krab does not use T72 chassis but highly modified K9 chassis, turret is also highly modified version of AS-90 turret, it only looks similar on the outside but is modified so much that UK does not have any licence rights to this turret.

I’ve never seen an AS-90, but I know that 90% of the vehicles are definitely not that. Seriously, please don’t say “the AS-90” as you show a freaking Bradly. Please.

Is very cool but sleek is not something I would describe it as lol, I've seen a few of them up close and they are absolute monsters!

Being British and ex army I have been around the AS90 Braveheart. This is an awesome bit of kit. Why was the video made up of mainly M109 and American M777, Bradleys, and did I see a piece of crap Abrams too? I really feel disappointed with video makers when the discuss British equipment and the video is filled with American stuff.

Sounds like it’s better than the paladin. I think the German panzer Faust is good too. Sweden has one they sent to Ukraine that may be the best. If forgot what it’s called but it looks real smooth.

AMOS or Advanced Mortar System is a Finno-Swedish 120 mm semi-automatic twin barrelled, breech loaded mortar turret. Too bad there are so few of them
