The Col de Cluy in Alpe d’Huez (2019) in 4k 60fps.

Over on the Auris en Oisans side of the Alpe d'Huez system is the Col de Cluy. It's often just one long mogul field but it's quite a wide open piste so if you're looking to improve, its a great run to practice. It's quite a challenging black run. The Auris side of the resort is one of the more gentle ski areas in the system unless you're going off-piste.

The main focus of this channel is to help you guys become Damn Skilled at skiing with videos to help you do that coming soon, so if you need any info on getting out to the slopes, gear or technique let me know.

I will be uploading a video every week to youtube over the ski season. Subscribe to improve!

Gopros always make things look way less steeper then they actually are.

Actually the steepest black run in Auris is called "La fuma", not this one. But it is not too often open. Small bushes are even growing on it ;). The "col de cluy" shown here is nevertheless a very nice run with some steepness, but nothing scary. It was in a really good conditions with fresh snow on the video. It can have much bigger moguls and be icy.

That doesn’t look too difficult to me although I’m sure the GoPro isn’t doing it any justice. Things tend to look easier on camera than they do in person. I’m probably underestimating how steep it really is.

East coast moguls make those look tame. Glare ice with a side of exposed rock

My friend who loved snowboarding recently killed herself and ever since I have been watching these videos and I understand why she loved it. Some great videos man.

Wouldn't be a ski video without a bunch of comments stating how easy the run is compared to East Coast/Canada/Colorado etc.. Strangely when you click on those commenters there's never any video evidence of their awesome ski ability across that rugged terrain. Anyway, awesome job on this run. Keep practicing and you might be able to handle the mighty mountains of Vermont with their 200m vertical. Lol

Fair play you're commited, I usually spend a few minutes at the top questioning my life choices, then several times on the way down 🤣

Made it look easy, kudos. There were definitely people going down that were a little jelly of how easy you were making it look

well done, but I agree doesn't look harder than "great scott" snowbird; alta or any double blacks at mammoth (off the peak). it all depends on snow though. I still find "the swiss wall" one of the most challenging slopes because the moguls tend to get HUGE. But, to be honest unless there are cliffs to jump or really narrow couloirs it's all the same and no big deal. The view though!
, man I miss the Alps.

It hurts my knees to watch you go right over all the moguls

All I’m finding in the comments is a bunch of inexperienced skiers

it makes me so uncomfortable how you just go over the moguls
