After over 14 years The Device Has Been Modified is now back again with a proper remaster.

Can't believe it's been that long already. Thanks to everyone who watched the original, I hope you enjoy this remastered version presented the way it was originally intended!

After 14 years in development, it has certainly been worth the wait.

Absolutely took me by complete shock to be shown this upload a month after it was released, I’ve always wanted to see the glorious transitions and effects in this video in full HD to the point I’ve contemplated remaking it myself from scratch, never would I have guessed an actual HD remaster would exist. This is absolutely amazing, I adore it.

I`ve religiously listened to this as a 10 year old. Now I am 24 and feel old as ever because of this throwback. Thank you so much for reviving my first favorite YouTube video in HD. <3

14 years.

It's been 14 years since I last heard this song. This is, by far, the greatest remix for Portal I've ever heard.

I randomly re-watched the original today and wondered, "Hm I wonder if there's a better version?" Very nice! So many memories!

OMG YOU DID IT!
I was looking for your old clip, remembering it randomly while singing to myself The Device Has Been Modified. I was like "I'm going to watch the old clip, idk if it's still on YouTube tho", and found this one!
You're a legend. You were when I was a kid, and you still are now.
Thanks a lot!

Man, of all the things to look forward to, I never would've expected this song to be remastered. As the meme puts it, a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. Much love!

I happened to be going through my old youtube music/music video playlist when I wanted to give the original a rewatch and I noticed the remaster. Super cool to see this recreated/remastered after all these years! I still think this is one of the coolest video game music videos! The seamless fast paced editing and cuts through the facility perfectly translate the mind-bending-madness, rat-in-a-maze feeling of making your way through Aperture Labs. Awesome job!
