Re. the tiring dominant leg:
When I started out learning to master my beast, I did a whole lot of half-moon circular back-and-forth repetitions equally with both feet, so that I grew relatively used to dismounting with either foot.

These videos have been so helpful. I have been getting despondent learning to ride, especially when I see lot of videos doing in it hours or a few days. It’s great to see someone who didn’t just pick it up in a few tries and that you persevered.

Several things you said rang true for me. I also found rocking my feet front to back or slaloming can help with the foot and leg cramping. Practice has lessened my tendency to overuse one leg. I've been riding two years now and still intentionally practice mounting and dismounting on each foot, tight left and right turns, stops and backing up, riding on different surfaces, taking curbs and steps, carrying things. I want to be able to react flexibly if something comes up, so work at what I'm weak at, and it's fun. I'm more interested in agility than speed, and have rarely felt the need for a faster wheel, most times I'm fine in the 15-20mph range. I still should wear more protective gear though :-/

Riding more will ease up the fatigue. Take your time to learn the EUC more, don’t be discourage to learn more. Even though you feel like you’re learning slow, that is okay. I’ve been riding and commuting here in NYC for almost 3 years. Goodluck! Keep riding!

One of things when start learning EUC is that riding with a fence by side is maybe a bit awkward because in my situation I realize after that it was not appropriate and should have started without. I recommend try to mount directly on the EUC. I saw on some vids doing like this and it looks better in spite of taking longer.

Just past 300 miles on my 16S and had my first crash. Hadn't even ever dropped it before that. I had all the gear on and only hurt my pinky finger a little. The gear is all scratched up; that would have been my skin if not wearing that, so gear up everyone. Good to see your improvement.

It’s good to see you guys stuck to your guns on the learning-curve. I shared last time that my wheel was damaged and I don’t ride; but these days I ride on a KS18XL.

I look forward to make miracles happen because I’m leery for a shermanS!

Hopefully I’ll one day run into you and Mark somewhere somehow.

Keep it up and please use a full-face moto-cross helmet. It’s lightweight too…. ☺

thank you for sharing, foot, leg, mount/dismount fatigue will pass the more riding you do, just like exercise. Foot fatigue is the hardest to overcome but with time and pressing past the discomfort more stamina can be developed. Falling is discouraging, road rash, sore muscles, bruising are probably more discouraging for a woman than a man, let your skill and improvement grow naturally with time, at some point recognizing potential troubles will become more recognizable and the necessary skill to overcome those potential problems.

You are doing great ! The fact that people started learning EUC often forget how important the safety gears, most of the people only put on a few protection gear which is dangerous, and until they get hurt they realise they needed more . Practice and ride it daily is the key to reduce cramp and tiredness to your legs, because you are training your muscle to do so .

the whole process is crazy when I first got my wheel I was terrified (what am I DOING?!) only wish I started in 2020 but now I'm locked in and such a crazy rider that I knew I would progress to an insane level fairly quickly. fatigue was the hardest part IMO just had to keep riding till battery got low every, single, day.

I subscribed your YOUTUBE today.
I'm the beginner of riding UNICYCLE.
Now I'm enjoying riding unicycle, V11.
I'm very happy that I found your YOUTUBE by chance.
Because I can share the feeling of riding and also I can come up with my past life in East side of USA.

Thank you for making this and your learning video. I've heard so many people say that it's really easy and you can learn and be riding in just a day or two. I think your experience is far more realistic. I have zero experience on a EUC but have been interested in them for a little while now, and it's nice to see a more realistic experience of trying to learn riding one.

Hopefully in the future I can pick one up and give it a go, but for now I'll stick to my scooter. I think Electric scooters are the perfect way to get around Washington, DC, and I bet a EUC would be just as good

I'm glad you didn't give up!!!👍😁
Thanks for the video.

Leg fatigue: either learn to switch legs or just don't give up using the one leg for balance, your muscles will get stronger.
Foot Fatigue: I learned this from chooch and it works, when you start feeling foot Fatigue, stop and turn your wheel around 360° then ride it that way.

Awesome. I started riding in Feb and just took my time but I picked it up quick. I also rode a OneWheel for a year. I just sold the OW and now have 2 EUC's and the wife has an e-scooter. Good video.

Omg 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻 this video really hits home. I’m 2 days in on being on my first EUC. And this is the most discouraging thing I’ve ever tried to learn. Feels like I’m not gonna get it!!

Great video, thanks for sharing your experience. Also, really smooth editing for a smaller channel.

Bigger foot pads should help to take the stress off your feet as well.
