The retrical is a success, Mari stops being so strict on Sunny's violin practice since the recital isn't stressing her anymore. Basil wouldn't be as nervous and timid, Aubrey wouldn't go full punk mode and Hero would still have his girlfriend. Sunny would learn to have lucid dreams, forming Omori as an avatar of himself and the headspace as a stage for his dreams.

Ok since so many people don’t understand why he took his own life in the mod let me try to explain (since I just beat the game):
Mari as we know put a lot of pressure on sunny. So much he would’ve been stressed everyday, and anxious. Kind of like basil. The fight on the stairs would probably still happen, not ending in Mari dieing though. He might’ve still pushed Mari, but she wouldn’t die. The argument would be because he almost broke the violin, meaning it didn’t fall down the stairs. Mari would be so mad after being pushed that it might get slightly physical. This would very obviously affect sunny. They would still do the performance, but as sunny said “I wasn’t ready. I was tired, not good enough, I couldn’t perform.” He would maybe fail at this, only from exauhsted or too much pressure. I don’t think he would off himself imediatley… but if the recital failed then Mari would also fail. She would be mad. She would probably yell at him again. And sunny knowing he ruined everything for Mari (he did not) and almost killed her, wouldn’t manage the guilt. If he did turn into a piniata it would be weeks later because Mari and maybe some others kept reminding him of his failure.

Tbh I don’t think the recital would fail (unless he gives up mid-recital) and I especially don’t think he would commit suicide right after (as shown by the game it takes ALOT to get him that far)

i think sunny would do the recital, helped by the encouragement of his friends. it mightve been scrathy, or our of tune, but at the end of it all, their friends were proud of him, and he was happy, that now things could be back to how they were before.

I wanted to point this out but Hero in this AU really looks like some popular and cool kid at school that knows how to skate (for some reason) instead of a father figure like in the original game. Thats probably how Mari sees Hero instead of Sunny i guess?
