My suggestion when using the snake is to keep the drill or carver as short as possible as the longer the bit the more wobble you will get at the end as you just saw.

I just bought this exact flex shaft, and had one that came with my dremel long ago, but it wasn't near as flexible... I hope this one works better.

Just got 2 days ago $18 Amazon. Installed flex shaft same as here out in sander drum. Turned on unit. Does not turn. Seems like it is slipping in rotary tool area? Why is this happening? Had numerous other models and no issues. Hmm
