I liked your presentations—no BS, just plain talk, no distracting music a good vid. Thank you

This was the best video for someone looking to replace their broken Dremel. I'm going with a Wen.

The last Dremel I got was over 14 years ago and the tool still works and don’t have problems with it since you let the tool do the work without forcing it to do the work.

I got a Black & Decker RTX rotary tool based on a video you did a couple years ago, along with a Dremel Flexshaft. They still work great!

I bought a Dremel 4000 because I thought I was buying the best, but now it is dead I realize it has been a total piece of crap from day 1. Because it was my first rotary drill I did not know how it should behave, and understood you should not treat it as a normal-size drill, so I thought it was normal that the unit would start getting warm after only a couple of minutes use. It was normal to stutter at low speeds. It was normal to fill up with dust at the drop of a hat. . Using a borrowed cheapo chineseium drill, it was a revelation, total smooth running and a lot longer than 5 mins before it even began to get slightly warm.

What you purchased makes sense, for the application. I did the same with my Bosch multi-tool. I needed to cut brick, something multi-tools are not designed to cut. I wasn't going to risk the Bosch, so I purchased a cheap Ozito (Australia). It did the job and if I burnt it out, it was a cheap replacement.

I've got a Harbor Fright rotary tool ( the larger one ) and I have had it 2 years with a Dremel flex shaft on it & I like it as much as the 4000 I have.

Nice carving! Could you glue a couple of glass marbles from the back for eyes. I reckon that would look so cool.

My bits slipped out of the cheap flex shafts too. I took the collet out, and dipped some thin rope in isopropyl and put it through the collet. Then I stood on one end of the rope, held the other end, and yanked the collet up and down the rope. Pull the rope around and clean the collet. You have to keep things clean. Then your burs won't slip as much.

I have 2 dremel 4250 and 1 300 but at the moment very reluctant to use them until I get better at carving, so I use the taklife and a Coxwell but work well.

These rotary tools are low torque so you have to use a light touch and let the speed of the tool do the work or you will burn them up every time. The Proxxon micromot rotary tool has the torque you likely need for you usage

Hey, I've been carving pallet flags for about five years. Spent a ton of 💰 on Dremels and they were not holding up and went to Amazon Wens, Avid power etc. Lot easier throwing a $30 tool in the trash every 6 months.

I bought a huepar with flex shaft. After less than 5 minutes it got burning hot. I will try the hanging it higher to see if that will cool it down.
