A bit over for my taste. I just use some newspaper sheets and small to big chunks. Open all vents and let it alone for 10 minutes. No extra work for splitting any more.

“Fire starters” are great at causing chimney fires and by the way he’s using them you’ll be broke before winter is over !

I’ve never used a fire starter ever and my fires take off no problem!

Better to keep the door closed after you've started the fire & open up that ash 'drawer' below & use vent at the bottom.

Jesus. Any one can start a fire if you a whole box of matches to start it what a waste. Learn to collect fat wood and start a fire like a mountain man. Not a yuppy.
