Thanks for the review! You’re the first person to actually go into some detail about the direct out, and now that I know it has a cab simulator on it I will put this amp on my Christmas list.

I played one of these for an hour yesterday. It was great! Very simplified and just presents the player with what would commonly be desired to get a nice sound in so many genres. If you're the "nuts and bolts" type that wants to twist every know, this isn't the amp for you. It's plug and play easy sounds. That's it.

If I had one criticism, it would be that the clean channel is "thick and rich" but not cutting and biting (mid-high focus) so I don't think it will cut through a band like, say, a Katana. Huh - the name makes sense now.

Great video! And i love that you showed your settings for everything you played!
I picked up a 200 2x12... my only gripe is, it didn't include a usb. Every video, even from line 6, talks about the immense things you can do by plugging in usb and using software. Not including the usb, is like not including 80% of the amps capabilities.

Ever tried a headrush on the catalyst?
The real way to plug it would be in the fx return with the switch on "power amp"? And do I use a regular instrument cable?

Can anyone explain why the amp is so noisy on high gain settings?? Theres a constant buzzing meanwhile my bandmates Blackstar is dead silent on max gain..

The only thing wrong with this amp is there only two channels per bank. Limits you in a live performance situation. Having to change banks manually.
