Good demo, focused on how it sounds and feels instead of tweaking.

Got the Catalyst 100. Using it with my HX Effects in 4CM. HX Effects provides all the effects (except where I use the Catalyst reverb), controls the boost and amp switching.

I've got amp model presets dialed in for single coils and humbuckers, with a few variations. Mostly using Clean, Boutique, Chime and Crunch.

Versatile, lightweight, sounds great.


For everything else, I still have my Marshall, Fender and Engl tube amps.

It sounds awesome it looks like line 6 version of the Katana. I think I might save up and get it for a wet dry setup I have the katana artist MKii and fender player hss strat so it’ll be interesting to pair up together. I also got both of those from Sweetwater great customer service.

Owned my Catalyst 100 for nearly a year now, versatile and sounds great. I use it with a HX Effects in 4CM + MIDI to change the amp channel preset, and turn the amp boost on/off. I don't use the effects in the amp.

Man if these things handle high gain at higher volumes better than the Katanas, it's gonna be a no brainer.

Huge benefit for some is that it is universal voltage, which Katana is NOT.

Whats the point of the power attenuator/wattage selection on a solid state poweramp section? Just to make the master volume knob range less touchy/easier to dial in lower volumes? I get the point on a tube amp.
