I used this for the first time a few weeks ago on LRC and it's great. You can also invert it and select everything except the subject, and I did a shoot in an industrial grungy location, and it really let me bring out the dirt and age and rust in the background without affecting the model and it was super quick.

I use it a lot at work for product photography. Select object/inverse makes it really easy and fast to make the background all white. Race season is over so I haven't really used it on my motorsports coverage but I feel it will get handy for the sky selection

I've been using the crapout of the new subject and sky selection tool. I just wish you could use a trim like tool to help select subject for the tricky or awkward selections

They actually updated the Lightroom Mobile with this functions as well which is awesome because it was way harder to manually select objects on a phone.

Excellent tutorial, I’ve been using this in Raw 14 within Photoshop 23, Raw can be opened by double clicking on a Raw image which you’ve downloaded to Bridge 12. Bridge can host the Raw dialogue without opening Photoshop; its also available as Raw as a Filter in Photoshop. The Raw UI is the same as the develop section of Lightroom 11.

i have a little bit different question: just got sony at7riva and I cannot open raw files on my iMac ! It's not a new camera so it should be supported. I'm up to date with my OS system. what is the problem ? I need help !
