Trae Young is one of the most dangerous offensive players in the league. Shooting, playmaking, leadership and all round Basketball IQ is leaps and bounds over Ja. If Ja was a significantly better defender then you could make the argument that his defence cancels out much of Trae's offence, but he's simply not. If Trae is a D- defender, Ja is a D+ defender.
