Also, what Dana doesn’t mention (because he’s such good friend to Chuck Liddell) is that he paid Chuck $100, 000 a year over the next 8 years to stop fighting, because he kept losing at the end by knockout, and he didn’t want to see him continuing to take damage like that.

Only reason those payments stopped is because the company was sold to WME-IMG and he couldn’t just have a buddy on the payroll making $100k, that was no longer his call. However discretionary bonuses are still given out to fighters that we never hear about. And Dana digs into his own pockets to help fighters out when he catches wind of a dire situation a fighter is in.

The ironic thing is that since the lawsuit, Dana had to release the actual pay of fighters rather than the disclosed amounts. It is up to 10 times as much as he actually discloses. He has said for years that he hates saying how much these guys make because their cousins and old friends will come out of nowhere and ask for money.

I used to love Liddell and another great over looked fighter was Forest Griffin, I remember my dad would buy the PPV's to watch them fight, wayyyy back in the day!!! Griffin was a BEAST! He'd take themost brutal beatings and still come out on top!!

Yea but the thing here was besides the base pay Oscar gave them percentage on the PPV which is why the fee for the fight was what it was. So I’m sure they made well over that

Fighter paychecks proportional to company’s profit seem to be one of the wise decision. 😊But it’s all upto UFC to decide.😔There are lots exciting fighters dying to sign contract under minimum checks. 😘😒

Chuck Liddell will tell himself that what they say they make is not really what they make they make a lot more than what they tell you their making and most won't even tell you what they are making cuz it's higher than what some may think and yes I'm sure there is a shit ton not making shit bare minimum but that goes for all sports and organizations period
