Being newly retired, I considered getting one beehive, but after learning how much work it is to keep it healthy -- WOW! It's a big time investment to do it right. I don't want to harvest honey-- just have bees to pollenate my garden and flowers.

David? I've been a fan for 3-4 years. I hope to meet you at EAS. I have one suggestion for your hive leveling David. I noticed that the hive still rocked side-to-side after placing wood in the direction of the FRONT-BACK. In this case, I think if you place the wood SIDEWAYS-SIDEWAYS it will give them better support. What do you think of this suggestion David? I check the level of my hives when I start seeing issues with the comb, the bees will make one side heavier than the other, because they build the comb to level.
