What do you do if it's just an expression? Like what if you're trying to just simplify a fraction but there is a variable in the denominator and it's just on its own.

But how do you do it when your equation has variable denominators on both sides and on one side it's not just a variable with a coefficient but something like 5x-15?

Haven’t taken a math class in 4 years. Taking college level chemistry and totally forgot about this rule. Knew I was forgetting something!!!! Haha it’s so simple I feel dumb
