When someone talks about testosterone and for the whole 5 mins he doesnt say suprafisiological

When a 5 min clip clears up 3 misconceptions.
- The hormone system and the nervous system aren't connected, they affect each other.
- Testesteron isn't the opposite of estrogen.
- Sleep deprivation doesn't kill your testosterone production if you are making effort and enjoying it.
Bonus: Cholesterol is either used for the production of testosterone or cortisol. ideally, if you are enjoying (convince) yourself you might maintain or increase your testosterone which will make the effort feel good.

When I was mid twenties I realized the importance of testosterone in mental health. With too little you will want to just sleep

Incredible mind on Huberman. It's a sparkling, and indeed, inspiring rarity to see a man so consistently passionate about his own work.

Thank you for having him on, Lex.

Estrogen makes you feel okay about being emotional and testosterone makes you like effort..? hmm...

He says stress produces cortisol which takes away from test production. Is it ok for your body to be stressed when pushing your efforts? For example when stretching your mind to its full abilities, or pushing hard during a workout.

I guess I am lacking testosterone because effort doesn’t feel good and I can’t be bothered doing stuff

This is interesting. I’ve always wondered why sometimes I go to the gym and I’ll be lifting and it feels so fucking good!
