Drought Situation in Turkana

Last week, Government Spokesman Dr Alfred Mutua challenged anybody with information about people suspected to have died of starvation and not illness or old age to volunteer such information to the government. Dr Mutua even indicated that provincial reports from the drought stricken regions were yet to confirm any such deaths. Citizen TV took up the challenge by Dr Mutua and travelled to Turkana in search of such information. As it turns out, such information is readily available from local provincial administrators like the chief of Kalapata location in Turkana who says he keeps a detailed log of all those who died of hunger related complications in a black book, now known as the book of death. Judy Kosgey with that story.

Pls pls this Kenya is going to the wrong direction. Let me ask a question which I don't know who will answer me!!? Why now come out when it is this bad??? Where are the leaders of those areas? And also is I may ask where is the young people of those area?

We need help yes but this blame game will not help anyone. We are suppose to come together and Educat this people of those area. If for truth the land is not good for planting let them move to other area. Let them know moving with cow's is to confuse their children because they will never go to school and they will never improve in life because what they know is been in forest. You blame Uhuru and Ruto surely how will they know people are in the forest without food if those people know one knows where they are?

Shame on those leaders who claim they come from those area and they say yes there's problem of food. Where were they before those innocent people get to that stage. But looking that problem is not for two to four months it seems like the problem has been there for long. And there's Governer? Woman rep, chief, mzee wamtaa? And what about youths of those area. Pls tell people the truth here. So sad God have Marcy on my mother land

Did the new commenters notice that this video was uploaded in 2011? It's a shame that we are here again. As if we never learn, we are still talking about it and pointing fingers. Then it was Alfred Mutua who said that no one had died today, we know who. Then we did not have devolution, today we have devolution. Anything changed? Yea, only got worse.
Not to bring in a political route these kind of stories bring, but it is hard not to think about the political leaders of these locations. Who are they leading if this is happening?
For God's sake, there is an MCA who is nothing more than a village politician/leader (not to mean any offence) who knows the issue from the very lowest level. What has he done?

You go there to do a story without taking them something. Very shameful.

The problem we have in kenya 🇰🇪 is not hunger .. the biggest problem is corruption .. you saw last week during veting some aspirants declaring their wealth that someone is worth 4billions shillings while their salaries were 1.5 million shillings what kind of investment are they running 🏃

Aiii this does not make sense, if u already know this is happening u should be having trucks driving down there loaded with food for this guys. Uhuru has the power to do this.
