I get a new 4 jaw chuck, and now can hold the stuff much better to machine everything up, so I start on some of the castings I did up previously, and make a threaded bronze bushing for the micrometer adjustment

Like your new chuck. You did some nice machine on those aluminum castings. Looking forward to see the end results. Have a good day.

Nice work on the T&C Project! It's really coming together now. Would also be interested in a set of plans, if you do work up them up someday.

G’day chirpy coming along nicely, you should be happy with the new chuck, sweet. I’d be interested in seeing some plans for this.

Great progress. Did you make the aluminium bronze yourself? It machines really well.

PS: The other benefit of the new chuck is the massive bore in the centre. It looks to be more like 60-70mm (2 1/2") rather than perhaps 30mm on the old one (1 1/2"). That extra capacity comes in handy all the time.

Congratulations on the new chuck. I was wondering what kind of chuck you have in the tail stock, and where do you get one? Also the Lock Tite used works by reacting to iron, so if you use it to hold nonferrous parts, like brass and aluminum, you should use an activator to make it set up. You'r doing an outstanding job, on the project, as well as thinking ahead.
