How to set the thumbnail image for a video on Windows 10

Why the dislikes? This worked perfectly. Even easier than in the video since the codeing part is now managed by the program it self.

The dislikes are most likely because you skip the most important steps of this "EXPLANATION" by saying type the command you see on your screen [which is blurry] and you type and move forward with the command on the screen after literally 1 second: I can't make out the command, and can't infer what it should be since if I could, I wouldn't need to watch the video-- pausing doesn't help because it's blurry.


You might as well just make a video where you say, download this software and use it correctly: if someone knows what that is; it's a great video. If not, it's really hard to "follow."

you dont even need the cmd, you can just open the tageditor, find and open the mp4, and replace the thumbnail with any image. this is just complicated

tks for the tut video but it's quite complicated, and the programmers had updated the app. Now you just need to download, extract, run the *exe file, choose the video and then add the image thumbnail then save. All done!

Not sure why you're getting a ton of dislikes, this worked perfectly for me. Downloaded version 3.12 and ran the application. Your video guide might not be up to date though since there's no longer a need for the terminal.

The reason is why you have many dislikes its because you dont have a thumbnail on the vid

Forget that. You can't even download a precompiled Windows EXE for that. I was able to do this in AtomicParsley. It works on the commandline. Howwever, it balked at a JPG that was made in PhotoShop, but a quick re-save in another app, and Atomic Parsley popped in the new thumbnail with the 2nd JPG. Thumbs up if you use this idea!

Guys, this is not necessary. My english isn't very good, but here is the solution:

Press Win + R;
Type "control folders";
Go to "View";
Uncheck "Always show icons, never thumbnail";

Problem fixed.

Thhi works only for mp4 videos not mkv, if you guys want a fast solution for mp4 just get MP3 TAG open the mp4 video you want, go to cover option replace the cover picture to whatever you want and save it DONE !No more than 2 minutes !

The dislikes are from beginners that are new to this stuff because this video works perfect for advanced users like the rest of us. But yeah, I think you should explain it more like how to open CMD and stuff so most beginners can properly understand
