i wish they brought back the ACTUAL custom thumbnail upload for shorts. Still a great feature, but would love to put a little more sparkle to it for those clicks. Appreciate you showing others this. So happy with how accurate this tool is!

Important detail is that the selected frame for the thumbnail is only visible in search and on your channel. The Shorts Feed disregards the selected thumbnail and chooses a random thumbnail image (often about 24 seconds in on a 60 second video).

Very new to YouTube. I think I launched 40 days ago. I feel like it is going very well because of my consistent shorts. Some of my shorts have done ridiculously well, and honestly I didn’t consider them to be good, but needed something up. So thankful we can do thumbnails now.
