Selling a 3D Printed Part for $133,000?!?!

This has GOT to be the BIGGEST Multicolor FDM 3D Printer in the world!

Recently, I got an opportunity to visit Degem, an Israeli 3D Printer manufacturer doing some SERIOUS innovation.

Take, for example, this 6 to 1 multi-color extruder, which uses clever software and hardware to minimize waste to only 10% of the print!

This makes Degem a great option for real estate developers... who pay $2,700 to a STAGGERING $133,000 to print out scale models of their projects.

They've also begun selling their printers, which only cost $19,500 to $44,000, to the aerospace industry...

They're even experimenting with using ferro-magnetic filament as the base of their models, completely eliminating the need for a heated bed - which makes a big difference when you're printing such massive models for days at a time.

And get this... their printers are made of readily-available extrusions and custom-designed PLA parts, which they print in house!

Follow for more interesting and innovative 3D Printing content!

* CORRECTION: In the video I say their printers start at $9,500, but that figure should be $19,500!

$44k printer with a cooling fan duct that looks like it was printed on a $75 3d printer. Oof.

At the very beginning, I thought it was a squat rack lol

for that price and with the size of the models they are printing I would expect less waste

At that price you would think they would try and fix layer adhesion and cooling problems. Their prints show a lot of extrusion issues as well.

I can't wait to spend that money to print nautilus gears and benchys lol

For 44k You can get
44 MK3S+with MMU3
about 30 MK4 with MMU3
10 XL

But none of them would be able to print that large.

However you would get this print just as good, and faster in sections using LuBan and will have a sizable print farm

I cannot imagine the nightmare of troubleshooting this

Only downside of printing is that I want more printers😂
Can’t wait to get there one day!
That’s so awesome

You can literally take a small printer and make it as big as you want. Just have to edit the software so it know it has a bigger build volume.

Get a Raised3d pro 3 plus and do it in pieces. Quality will be much higher and faster.

Very bad quality tbh. And I have printed architectural models..

I would love to see more about those printers! Do you plan to release a full video?

Although being it very cool, the layer lines showing on the prints remind me of my long gone Anet A8 which was a pretty horrible printer

This is awesome technology! Please dont pay attention to people here who only critise others having nowhere near the skills to create anything themselves. Keep going!

I'm not sure I would consider a full scale model of a building to be a part 🤔
