Something I noticed with Simon is that he usually gives actual critisisms, hes not super rude or disrespectful and he knows a good voice when he hears it and thats something I respect about him
besides there always needs to be a "mean" judge

This is being a bad judge. He literally stated that it’s not HIS type of music and that’s the only reason he said no. She had talent and it was obvious. Sometimes the hard part of being a judge is seeing talent in skill even if it’s your personal entertainment

I'm not a fan of musical theatre either, but how could you say "no" to that voice? She's got amazing talent! The show is called "America's Got Talent, " it shouldn't matter the judge's personal preferences.
