I'm retiring at 62.
If i decide to go without medical coverage three years between 62 to 65 will i have to pay that penalty?

So glad to hear of crackdown on false advertisements etc. I think your services are much needed. I am STILL getting too much crap for Medicare and so sick of all the too-good-to-be-true commercials. What if I'm still working at 65 and want to wait till I'm 70 to retire? I have insurance thru my employer but it's not great. Premiums are almost $200 per pay period. Yearly deductible is $3550, then only 70% coverage...for "covered procedures", plus co-pays for visits and prescriptions. Can I get Medicare benefits at 65 without starting SS benefits?

Have there been lawsuits against the ineligibility to draw Medicare if someone retires overseas? After all, when the government garnished medicare tax during the person's working years, the person had no choice (to refuse) so why aren't they entitled to medicare when they retire? The person should get some form of voucher if the US government can't pay directly to medical facilities overseas.
