One thing with Bethesda I've noticed is that when they don't show much of one aspect it's because it's very poor. There wasn't much shown in regards to dialogue, i'm hoping the dialogue is still solid, would've been nice to see some conversations around one of the city areas with your player character.

Exploration is what excites me, but I'm curious how they diversify the experience. No Man's Sky has basically infinity planets, but they're not really "planet-sized" and landing on any one part of them gives you the same basic feel as landing anywhere else. Fewer, but larger, planets with more diversity sounds better. I hope that's what Starfield delivers, but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't. Still, it's probably worth it for the built in story if nothing else.

Fallout and No Mans Sky had a baby in the Outer Worlds.

Combat and weapons seem to lack a lot of impact and "oomph". Wondering what it would feel like to play. It could also be them leaning more into classic rpg mechanics rather than making a arpg. Cautiously optimistic

It’s a Skyrim/Fallout hybrid set in space. Not particularly exciting for people who’ve been playing these games for decades. It’s the same structure. The same mechanics. You gather resources, there’s several factions you can join, multiple choice dialogue, a skill point system, standard gun combat… it’s not bad. It just feels like I’ve played this game before. It checks all the usual boxes… Oh and the engine is the same as well. And it shows. Plastic-looking humans, nothing has real weight in the game. The facial expressions got improved I guess.

Whatever. Maybe I’m getting old so this stuff just doesn’t do it for me anymore. Anyone around 30 feeling the same way?

You can love or either hate Bethesda games, we all know both its advantages and bad sides, but I just love how cozy and native all their worlds look like, its atmosphere...

Enemies response to being hit by bullets seem to be inconsistent.
I don't know if it's armor based or depending on where you're hitting them, but does anyone notice they seem to not respond at all or their stagger animations are delayed.

It looks like alot of fun, and I’m excited to get my hands on it. One thing I’ll say though, I really think it’s time they change their engine. There’s little excuse for that Bethesda clunkiness these days. It wasn’t a big deal 10-15 years ago, but it looks really obvious now compared to the current market. And not just AAA games, but compared to indie titles as well.

I really hope the planets aren’t just blank canvasses with barely anything to them with just a handful of planets that are actually worth visiting with stuff on them. I can imagine that’ll be the case but I’m prepared to be proven wrong.

I love how every single game in existence is a company's most ambitious game. Bet they said the same about Fallout 76

Everyone is comparing this to No Man's Sky but no is comparing this to Star Citizen. Hopefully they can pull off what Star Citizen hasn't finished.
