When Khali raised the title upside down, you had to know something was wrong here!

Interestingly that first Randy reign effectively wiped two people from the record books, since he won it from redacted

Jack Swagger becoming world champion is always a fascinating moment to me. Before his cash in he’s a Biff Tannen jock heel with some personality going for him that makes you think maybe he can be something. However, the moment he pickup the world title after winning it you can literally watch the personality drain out of him.

Christian vs Orton also basically highlights how authority figures are some of the most Fickle bastards in WWE, Teddy comes out basically double dog dares Christian to put the title on the line against Orton but then refuses to let Christian invoke his Rematch clause and makes him work for his Rematch.

*I was so mad the way how WWE ruined Christian’s WHC reign in 2011. He deserved so much better. He honestly should’ve been a multiple time world champion in my opinion but we all know that dear ol Vinny Mac always just saw him as Edge’s partner. SMH.*

Jeff Hardy's like 3 minutes as champ after beating Edge was sad

“The summer of 2007, possibly the worst time to be a wrestling fan” was literally when I first started watching WWE and thought it was the greatest thing ever 😂

Swagger has gone on record to say that the original plan was for him to cash in on the WWE title but Cena refused.

Cena must be clairvoyant.

Bit unfair on Rey there. He had a forgotten, but excellent, clean defense against Randy Orton on Smackdown. Worth tracking down if you've never seen it

Christian and Dolph deserved way better. Even to me, I see something that the people who run WWE cannot, imagine an alternate world where these two were top stars.

As a diehard Kane fan, my bias disagrees with your take on his reign. And their match at Night of Champions wasn't bad, though the other two were ruined due to interference. His reign was long overdue

I always wondered if Khali held the title upside down on purpose or was he just too clueless to realize it

I dunno Tempest, when Kane took the Urn and stole Undertaker's powers, only for Undertaker to come back on the go-home show and reveal that he had absorbed Kane's fire powers was a pretty lit anime moment.

Dear lord, look at the thumbnail, Khali couldn’t even hold the belt the right way up

The thing that drives me nuts about Christian's title reign was that there was literally no reason for the Orton match. He hadn't done anything to earn it, there hadn't been any interactions between the two. He just came out and said--almost verbatim--"I'm Randy Orton, so give me a title match tonight." And they did. And they had Christian lose.

And then, to make matters worse, they used that to launch a storyline I call the "Christian spiral, " after this feud: an unlikely champion, liked by the fans but not by the higher-ups, being booked as not good enough to get the job done, and eventually turning heel out of frustration at his own inability. It was the kiss of death for his character--the end of Christian ever being taken seriously as a singles competitor in WWE.

Just...screw Vince McMahon. Seriously.

Christian was, is, and always will be over at a level a lot of guys weren't even close to in 09-11. Seeing him finally win the big one was such a wonderful moment. Seeing him lose to Orton later that week was such a deflating moment, kind of like when ADR cashed in on Punk. Crazy to think of the extreme ups and downs of 2011 alone.

Teddy Long should have gotten his ass kicked on SmackDown for putting that Christian/Orton match together.

No one at all:
Vince every time he sees a rich asshole who treates everything around him like trash: "He's the perfect baby face!"
